All the dishes we had were very tasty indeed would definitely go back for another visit!cathy f2023-02-05Special Family gathering This was my first time visiting, after seeing the reviews online, I wanted to try this for myself. I wasn't disappointed. The food was amazing. Tried everything on the menu, from fish cutlets and mutton rolls, to string hoppers and egg and plain hoppers. The mutton curry was just like my dad used to make. Being Sri Lankan, it was just like eating home cooked food. Portion sizes were great and there was a lovely selection to choose from. It was pleasant to see other Sri Lankans eating in there too. A good sign that this is a truly authentic experience of Sri Lankan cooking. I would definitely recommend coming here and will be coming back for sure.Majortom562023-02-05Authentic Sri Lankan fare Visited Dammika for a siblings birthday treat. We are Sri Lankan so feel able to critically appraise the food. We ordered a range of dishes, from cutlets for starters to hoppers and string hoppers and a mix of curries and vegetable dishes. And finished off with some Wattalapam for desert! The food was like home cooking, just like our late parents taught us all how to cook. All the dishes had a distinctive taste and not all were "blow your socks off" heat wise! Portion size was fine. I was a bit disappointed that the pork curry was taken off the menu but this was a very minor point in an otherwise memorable meal! 🙏🏽Others have commented on the ambiance. Imho, you make your own ambiance! The restaurant has a cafe-style layout , the serving staff and manager were friendly and attentive and we thought the food good value for money in this part of London. I'd definitely recommend the restaurant both to those who know and love authentic Sri Lankan fare and those looking to try it for the first time.mgapple2023-02-04Authentic Sri Lankan food in a friendly restaurant Authentic Sri Lankan food served in a very friendly cafe style restaurant. Visited with my 4 siblings and being Sri Lankan, we all thought the food tasted just like home cooking! We ordered a good mix dishes including fish cutlets - which were absolutely delicious and nice and hot 🌶🌶, mutton rolls and fish curry, chicken curry and black Mutton curry and vegetable dishes of okra, dhal and brinjal. Plus hoppers, egg hoppers, strings, seeni sambol and pol sambol. All tasted fresh! There was nothing left! 😋 Highly recommended this restaurant- will be back!maise2023-01-31Could be wonderful Strange place! No ambience. But wonderful food and beer. The boss and his family and friends were there for a meal and their conversation entertained us!Karla2023-01-22Special lunch He estado en el restaurante por primera vez y la comida ha sido perfecta, pero he de agradecer la especial atención de la camarera Sabrina. Ella fue muy amable y educada. Cuando se trabaja con cariño lo puedes notar con tan solo una mirada. Gracias por hacer un momento especial para nosotros!Volveremos seguro!!!!Phil Dowd2023-01-16Great food and even better staff The food was phenomenal. As a Sri Lankan I've had a lot of Sri Lankan cuisine and this by far the best I've had in London. The food was as close to homemade as you can get in a restaurant. Full of flavour and taste and no feeling of oiliness or bloating after the meal. Don't be fooled by the size of the restaurant, the decor is cute and simple, but the warmt of the staff and the atmosphere is very homely.Charla M2022-12-08Highly recommend - absolutely delicious and lovely service! Absolutely DELICIOUS FOOD! Never tried Sri Lankan food before and I absolutely loved it, so flavourful and each dish was so so tasty. Lovely service and great value for money. Highly recommend!

Dammika's Sri Lankan Lamprais
Lamprais, also known as lump rice. Lamprais is derived from the Dutch word "lomprijst".
Chicken Lamprais
which loosely translated means a packet of food. It consists of two special curries (a three-meat curry- lamb – and ash plantain with aubergine),
Seeni sambal, Belacan, Frikadeller meatballs, and rice boiled in stock, all of which are wrapped in banana leaves and baked in an oven. The rice is made by frying raw short-grain rice with onions and spices in butter or ghee and then cook it in meat stock.
